International Press

Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

The fourth pillar of democracy, press, shapes our opinions on issues around us. We should consider that we are constantly swamped with information riddled with implicit biases and disguised opinions. Amidst failure of political journalism and the growing challenges to press freedom, we, as a community, should make an effort to discuss ethics, free speech, misinformation, and new technology.

With a more advanced yet a complex world, innovative reporting and storytelling practices have taken shape in response to growing disinformation problems. We, at the International Press Council, pride ourselves to invite you to explore the future of journalism worldwide through debate, engagement, and research.

With eagerness and aspirations,

The Secretariat
